A - ACCOUNTABILITY AND
       ACCESSIBILITY

   Elected officials must first, and
 foremost, be accountable to the
citizens they serve. We, as citizens,
have the right and duty to ensure that the leaders we elect follow a
path that is the most beneficial to
 our city.

 Elected officials must also be
accessible to the citizens.  I propose
informal town meetings with the city council, held quarterly,  in addition
to regular business sessions of the
council.   Not all of our fellow citizens feel comfortable speaking in the more formal setting of a council meeting; I believe a less formal setting will allow everyone an  opportunity to work together for the  betterment of our community.

Each Ward in our city has unique problems- we should also hold Ward meetings at least twice a year.

 B- BRIDGING THE GAP AND
      BRINGING BACK PRIDE

In the Bayonne of old, our citizens
were proud to say "I'm from
Bayonne".  While most of us still feel
that way, there are many of our
neighbors who have lost that pride in
 our city.

By rebuilding that same pride, we can
turn the tide that  Bayonne has been
following.  A  community made up of
proud  citizens will be a cleaner
community and one that will attract the
type of  businesses we need for our
 future.

If we "Bring back the Pride", we can
 successfully "Bridge the Gap" between
the Bayonne of Old and the Bayonne of
the future, a community that has
something to offer to all of our citizens,
from the youngest to the eldest and
 everyone in between.

  C- COMMITMENT , CIVIC
 AWARENESS , AND  COOPERATION

  It takes commitment to achieve
  a goal
,and it will take the
  commitment of every resident
to work together to save our city.

An aware citizen is one who is
 informed and cares about the
 issues facing our  city.

Cooperation is a two way street-
it is up to all of us to share ideas
 and find workable solutions that
not  only resolve the issues we
face as a  city but also take care
of the needs of  our citizens.
To be a good leader, you must first start by being a good listener.
